Barb presently hosts yoga & hiking-yoga retreats in Europe, Canada, Asia and Mexico. She also teaches Yoga & Pilates for FitProTravel at various resorts throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. Graciously, Barb was there for us (her “Barbarians”), and she kindly maintained an impressive on-line virtual schedule of Yoga, Firm Parts & Core classes, and even featured some team-teaching Boot Camp classes with her Hiking Yoga Partner "Kerri Gregson". Barb’s ability to create community, even in the most difficult of circumstances, is a testament to her quality as an instructor and as a human being. I do not know how we would have made it through, and continue to make it through this pandemic, without Barb’s goodwill, kindness, and instruction.

I awaken to the sound of the surf, punctuated with the screech of parrots flying past my deck. I throw on my yoga clothes and flip flops and descend the stairs for that heavenly Mexican coffee and then join my companions to watch the pelicans soar past. A frigate bird plunges into the surf, a couple rays leap out by the swim platform. And that’s just the beginning of a day full of yoga, healthy food and conversation, swimming in warm salt water, reading a book on the beach, exploring the local villages, hiking to waterfalls, then back for more food, yoga, happy hour at the bar, and more heavenly food. This is indeed a tropical paradise, no roads, no cars, no rush. The facilities are excellent, the staff friendly, and Barb truly cared about each of us, inviting us on hikes, organizing some impromptu adventures, and making sure our expectations were met. Her inspirational readings really capped off each yoga session and left me glowing.

Barb, I want to say thank you so much for all you did to create an amazing retreat for me personally, and for the entire group. It was perfect from start to finish and you set such a marvelous positive tone with your lovely personality and your knowledge of yoga. The location was fantastic. The rooms were so delightful with the open air to the ocean. I had trouble following asleep last night as I missed the sound of the waves and the fresh jungle air.
The yoga studios were the best ever and the ocean and jungle location helped us to be so calm and to deepen our practice. I loved your Yoga Nidra and you need to continue your journey on that path.
The attention of the resort staff was impeccable as was their skill with preparing healthy and locally sourced food. The staff went above and beyond at all times and were so kind and helpful.
Thank you for the lovely gift of the Peppermint Halo essence. I have been enjoying it so much today. It transports me back to Mexico and to the wonderful experience you provided. I enjoyed your energetic practice and your kindness you showed to all. I really enjoyed getting to know the group of women, but especially you. I absolutely love and crave Barb’s Power Hot Yoga class. I am a working mom of two young children, and the benefit that Barb’s presence and practice does for my body, mind & spirit is amazing. She is a warrior of a woman. The power and strength she holds herself is unbelievable. When you are in her class you feel your own power and strength is unstoppable. Although her workout is fierce, she leads with a perfect blend of peace and determination. Barb also shares meditation at the end of class. Although I wasn’t all that familiar practicing meditation, Barb’s guidance & essence helped me get there and make it such a pleasurable experience. Given my time is so sacred, I specifically choose Barb’s class. It’s a wicked workout where I can clear my head and walk out an enhanced version of myself.
